🚨 Emergency Services

• 🔴 European Emergency Number 112 The priority number for foreign travelers. It works from any mobile phone, even without a local SIM card or network credit. Operators speak English and will dispatch the appropriate service (Ambulance, Fire, or Police).
• 🚑 SAMU - Emergency Medical Service 15 Call for severe medical emergencies only (heart attack, stroke, unconsciousness). You will speak directly to a doctor who will evaluate the situation and send a specialized mobile intensive care unit (SMUR) if required.
• 🚒 Fire Brigade & Medical Rescue (Sapeurs-Pompiers) 18 In France, firefighters do much more than fight fires. Call them for any urgent medical emergency (severe accidents, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or domestic injuries). They are fully trained paramedics and arrive very quickly.
• 🚔 Police / Gendarmerie (Law Enforcement) 17 Call for immediate assistance in case of danger to people or property (theft, assault, break-in, or severe public disturbance). In rural areas like Domagné, your call will be handled by the Gendarmerie Nationale.
